ACTIVITIES

The department conducts lectures and tutorials as per the University requirements to improve the subject-knowledge and communication skills of the students. The faculty members engage the students in a range of communication skill-developing activities like speaking skills, listening comprehension, grammar and vocabulary practice. Remedial and revision exercises are also organised.

The department faculty are in charge of editing the annual college magazine, Sanskar, along with other extra-academic responsibilities at college and university level.

The faculty are actively involved in research activities. Mrs. Sucharita Sarkar, Associate Professor, has submitted her doctoral thesis in 2018. She has been invited to present research papers at international seminarsat Ryerson University, Canada and Erfurt University, Germany, and at two national conferences in Mumbai. She has also published peer-reviewed book chapters in edited anthologies published by an international publisher.
